Laserjet Pro MFP M426fdn
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Laserjet Pro MFP M426fdn paper tray 2 does not recognize paper loaded. The printer reports "Load paper. HP recommends ColorLok papers for best printing results."

Could it be as simple as buying a new paper tray? Is there a faulty sensor?

I updated the printer with the latest firmware and I did a hard reset.

The printer works well printing from paper tray 1 (manual feed),

There is a sensor in the paper tray that was problematic on earlier models and would require replacement

At rest the sensor should sit in the middle and when moved forward or backwards return automatically to the center position. Part number is RM2-5375-000CN
