HP Color Laserjet M553
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
We have five of these M553 printers in our place of business, and one of them is exhibiting a squelching noise with every print job. It's very loud and aggravating the entire department.
I've checked the trays, the manual feeder, the toner, the rollers, and removed the fuser to see if anything is stuck. It feels like it's in the top area near the rollers/fuser but can't locate the root cause without seemingly taking the entire printer apart.
Anything we can try? Thanks for any guidance you can provide, hopefully leading to ending the noise.

Hi Machine1974,

Noises usually are caused by toner cartridges especially when the run low or they are compatibles. Try to remove them all, reboot the printer and install them one by one to see which one is causing it.

You can also do a component test which is under Administration -> Troubleshooting and run all component test to try to isolate which component or band of components is doing the noise.

Lastly, you will have to basically remove all covers and have the printer as bare as possible and try to locate the source of the noise by just hearing from where it comes from.

I hope this helps

Cheers
