I continue to have issues with "output bin is full" when it isn't. I need a better view of the sensor I am supposed to clean on the HP Office Jet Pro 9025. This machine has 2 paper bins. Help me locate the sensor using a photo of the HP OfficeJet Pro 9025. Also, as an alternative I am supposed to be able to turn off the preference for the output bin sensor, but I can't locate that either. If it is part of the 9025, PLEASE tell me how to find it. I would gladly turn it OFF. So frustrating!  I often just use an old HP printer because the new one won't print.

Hi @Daisy39,

I'd like to help!

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I finally figured out how to turn off the "output tray sensor."  The error message always said it was possible to turn off the output tray sensor, but It was never clear where on the home screen to find "SET UP" to accomplish that task.  It's the circle-star-like icon at the left of the top line of choices.  Such an easy fix if someone had just told me where to locate SET UP>Preferences>Tray Sensor.  I turned it off - and the next item I printed worked just fine.  Let's hope it continues.

Just want you to know that I have printed a number of items since turning OFF the output tray sensor.  Thanks for your help.
