HP Color Laser MFP 178nw

I purchased an HP printer through the HP Online Store vide Bill No. Edited dated 12.08.2025.

The printer started experiencing frequent paper-jam issues from May 2026. When I contacted HP-authorised printer service centres, they refused to accept the printer for servicing, stating that it was purchased through the HP Online Store.

The issue has now become serious. When the printer is switched on, it appears to be overheating/burning and smoke is coming from the printer. This appears to be a serious defect and may indicate a manufacturing defect.

I am unable to understand how to get the printer serviced or replaced, particularly since the authorised service centres are refusing to accept it.

I request HP to urgently arrange for inspection and either repair the printer or provide a replacement, as applicable under the warranty.

Please advise the next steps and arrange the necessary service at the earliest.

Regards
