Hi @edward97 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP DeskJet 4100e All-in-One series printer not feeding 11 mil photo paper, there are several potential reasons and solutions to consider. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

Check Paper Specifications: HP DeskJet 4100e All-in-One series Product specifications

  • Ensure the paper you are using is within the printer's supported specifications. For the HP DeskJet 4100e series, check the maximum thickness of photo paper it can handle.

Clean the Paper Rollers:

  • Dust and debris on the paper rollers can prevent proper feeding. Open the printer and use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water to clean the rollers. Make sure the rollers are dry before closing the printer.

Adjust Paper Settings:

  • Adjust the printer settings to match the type of paper you are using. Go to your printer's properties in the print dialog, select the correct paper type (e.g., photo paper), and make sure the paper size is set correctly.

Fan the Paper Stack:

  • Sometimes, photo paper can stick together. Remove the stack of paper, fan it gently, and reload it into the printer.

Load Paper Properly:

  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly. It should be aligned and snug against the guides without being too tight.

Use a Different Paper Tray:

  • If your printer has multiple paper trays, try using a different one to see if the paper feeds correctly from there.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Go to HP's website, download the latest firmware for your printer model, and follow the instructions to update.

Reduce the Number of Sheets:

  • Try loading fewer sheets of photo paper. Overloading the tray can cause feeding issues.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions that could be preventing the paper from feeding properly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
