Hi @kapsnotes,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the E3 error on your HP Ink Tank Wireless 410 typically indicates a paper jam issue, but it can also relate to other mechanical problems within the printer. Since you have already checked for paper jams and followed the common solutions, here are some additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Check for Any Obstructions:

  • Open the paper tray and look inside for any obstructions that might be causing the issue.
  • Check the rear of the printer as well.

Clean the Paper Rollers:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the access door to the paper rollers.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to clean the rollers.
  • Allow the rollers to dry completely before closing the access door and plugging the printer back in.

Ensure Proper Paper Loading:

  • Make sure you are using the correct type and size of paper as specified in the printer manual.
  • Fan the stack of paper to ensure that the sheets are not sticking together.
  • Do not overfill the paper tray.

Check for Mechanical Issues:

  • Inspect the paper path and ensure that there are no broken or misaligned parts.
  • If you find any broken parts, you might need to contact HP support for repair or replacement.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Sometimes driver issues can cause hardware malfunctions. Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed.
  • Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Uninstall the current drivers from your computer and then install the updated drivers.

Perform a Printer Diagnostic:

  • Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool, which can diagnose and fix many printing and scanning problems. You can download it from the HP support website.

Hi Gaya1239,

Thanks for your detailed answer. I'm accepting it for others but it didn't help me.

I tried all that and finally tried finding HP service center on HP website. I'm in Pune, which is one of the biggest cities in India and an IT hub but I didn't find any service center nearby. Also, there were no contact numbers. HP site is forwarding me to AI Assistant, which is not at all helpful and community support. I landed here by that only.

Unfortunately, I've no time and energy to surf web for hours and fix it myself. I had to contact a local nearby shop owner and he charged me Rs 1500 claiming a roller was broken and changed it. I'm not convinced because there is not even a slight physical damage, but I was out of options and paid. I saved his number for any future problems. They might charge extra but at least get the job done on time.

My printer is now working, thanks to local service provider. There was no after-sales service or help from HP side, especially for out of warranty equipments. We go with brands like HP for after-sales service, which is completely missing in my case. Does HP really expect us to throw printers after 1 year (warranty period)?
