@Rich218, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e document feeder is not feeding paper, here are the recommended steps to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:

Clean the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) Rollers

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ADF cover.
  • Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to clean:
    • The paper pick rollers
    • The separator pad
  • Let them dry for at least 2 minutes before closing the cover.

Check for Jammed or Misaligned Paper

  • Remove any paper stuck in the feeder.
  • Make sure the paper is properly aligned and not curled, wrinkled, or too thick.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Try a Test Scan or Copy

  • Load a few sheets of plain paper into the ADF.
  • Try scanning or copying to see if the issue is resolved.

When I lifted the cover, I found a foreign object there. Removed it and works perfectly now.
