HP Envy Photo 6200

I have tried continuously to get my printer to print on  8.5"x11" 170g/m matte photo paper and every time it becomes jammed. I can not figure out why this happening or how to solve the problem.

Welcome to the HP Community --

The printer is likely not recognizing the matte paper as "photo paper".

Reload the paper according to the instructions in the user manual

Reference:  User Guide  > Starting on Page 15

Next,

Right away, using the Printer Display Panel or EWS,

Identify the paper to the printer as Brochure matte (or as close as possible while not selecting photo paper)

Next,

Select the paper size / type in the application / software you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer.

What?

HP Brochure matte / Professional paper is 180 gsm.

Brochure paper comes in both matte and glossy -- the paper type is suitable for printing text / photos / both.

Your paper is close to the same weight.

If the print surface is also close to the smooth Brochure matte print surface, the selection might work for you.
