Product: HP DesignJet T520 24-in Printer

HP DesignJet T520.  I called approximately three weeks ago and spoke with an HP Tech regarding paper jams with this printer.

He diagnosed that I needed a carriage assembly. I called an HP Service Provider and they ordered the part and came to fix the printer. The  service provider detected that i did not need this part and actually need a cutter and  a print feeder. I am now responsible for paying for the not needed carriage assembly, unless i can provide a case number for the HP Service Provider.

All case numbers are linked to the serial number which means if you call back into the support number you originally called they can provide the number. Service providers as you have found, do not have access to those case numbers unless they originated the support call.
