Hi wonder if anyone can help. My printer is not picking up paper. I have checked for jammed paper/pathway but nothing. I have checked tray installation and adjusted photo tray was not seated correctly. I have changed paper and cleaned rollers. Still not picking up paper and just continuously clicks and pings then error either no paper or jam. Any advice please?

Hi @Carrfife,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you've already done some thorough troubleshooting! If the printer is still not picking up paper after checking for jammed paper, ensuring proper tray installation, adjusting the photo tray, changing paper, and cleaning the rollers, there are a few more things you can try:
- Check Paper Size and Type: Make sure the paper you're using matches the specifications for your printer. If the paper size or type is not compatible, the printer may have difficulty picking it up.
- Reset Printer: Sometimes, resetting the printer can resolve issues like this. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Update Printer Firmware/Driver: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP website. Additionally, ensure that your printer drivers on your computer are up to date. Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Inspect Paper Path: Even if you couldn't find any jammed paper initially, it's possible that there's a small piece of debris obstructing the paper path. Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect the paper path and remove any debris you find.
- Replace Pickup Roller: If the pickup roller is worn out, it may have difficulty picking up paper. Consider replacing the pickup roller if you've exhausted other troubleshooting steps.
