Just set up new printer. OfficeJet 8015e. First few prints, pulled multiple pages, only printed on top page, but three or four additional pages came out of the printer as well. Now it is pulling three pages and printing a little on each page. Anyone have any advice? Very frustrating with a brand new printer.

Hi @GaylaA,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Dealing with paper feed issues can indeed be frustrating, especially with a new printer. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check Paper Quality: Make sure you're using high-quality, undamaged paper. Sometimes low-quality or wrinkled paper can cause feeding issues.
  • Adjust Paper Guides: Ensure that the paper guides in the input tray are properly adjusted to fit the size of the paper you're using. Misaligned guides can cause paper to feed incorrectly.
  • Fan the Paper: Before loading it into the printer, fan the stack of paper to prevent sheets from sticking together. This can help ensure that only one sheet is picked up at a time.
  • Paper Condition: Check for any moisture or static build-up in the paper. Both can cause paper to stick together and result in multiple sheets being picked up at once.
  • Clean Rollers: Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the rollers, causing them to slip and pick up multiple sheets. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the rollers properly.
  • Paper Type Setting: Ensure that the paper type setting in the printer's menu matches the type of paper you're using. Using the wrong setting can affect how the printer picks up and feeds paper.
  • Update Firmware/Drivers: Sometimes, firmware updates can address known issues with paper feeding. Check if there are any updates available for your printer's firmware or drivers and install them if necessary.

By going through these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the paper feeding issue with your HP OfficeJet 8015e.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
