I know this is a long shot but...

I'm having an issue with an occasional 'Unexpected Paper size' error when printing on A3 from my 250 sheet optional tray. I have traced it to one of the microswitches on the paper size PCA (part number on the PCA is RG5-2125) which is giving an intermittent high resistance. I have electronics experience and can swap out the microswitch but it would be helpful if anyone could tell me the switches used to see if I can source another.

New microswitches arrived and all OK. They are ALPS catalogue No. SKHHPKA010.

I have a spare tray assembly and whilst I was refurbishing the PCA, I decided to swap the photosensor because the spare wasn't detecting paper out; the photosensor is an Omron 1041. I'll now refurbish the other PCA as a spare.

I might have bought a new board as it was only $21, until I saw the $250 shipping cost to the UK!

These are typically a standard momentary contact switch. I used to order them from Digi-key. Just measure the actual size and observe the contact layout.

Thanks for the reply and sorry to be slow answering. I've been away for a week.

I desoldered one and found the Alps branding on it. By checking their catalogue I found the item so I've ordered some replacements. When they arrive I'll fit them and let you know the part number and how it went.
