The Problem is with my LaserJet 3005dn,
The printer tries to pick up paper from tray 2 I also see some crumps on the paper but doesn't pick up, and then shows the error that the paper jammed in tray 2. there is no paper in the path jammed anywhere.
I already had tried these:
- Unloading/reloading tray (to various depths of paper)
- Resetting paper guides
- Turn it off/on again
- Inspecting the printer to see if anything is broken
Prints fine from tray 1 (manual tray).
Suggestions?
Thanks

Check the pickup roller. If you have never changed it likely it is worn to the point it will not work. Remove the tray and look at the roller in the middle of tray cavity. It should have finger print like ridges. If it is smooth, it is worn out and will cause major feeding issues. Sample below shows the difference between a worn and new roller. (this roller is not from a 3005, only used to illustrate the texture of the roller surface.)

If you read my entire post I stated clearly that the rollers shown are only illustrate what the rubber surface is supposed to look like. This particular roller in the picture is from a CM2320 but the surface of the rubber portion would look the same. Yes on the 3005 there are 2 white plastic rollers that are on each side of the rubber. If the pickup roller has never been replaced it is still likely the cause of your problem. That, or there is something jammed in the slot that the paper passes through from the tray up to the inside of the printer.
