Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and older

My printer does not work.  I get the error for paper jams but there is NO PAPER JAM!  I have followed all the FAQ and online fixes.  Nothing works to reset the machine.  I would like to return it but can't get ahold of customer service.  Can I return it to the retailer/Costco?  Any suggestions??

How old is the printer? Certainly if you are within Costco's return period that might be your best option. If it was brand new it is possible that a flag or sensor got knocked out of place due to rough handling, things happen.
