My printer is showing a paper jam reading. There is no jam. I cleaned the printer heads and removed any dust or matter that did not belong. I checked to see if any of the tabs were broken. I then got a total blue screen with a number on it. I understand that this is called the blue screen of death. It still will not print. I am a pastor and I have many things to print out for this Sunday's service. Please help!

Hi @JMT72,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with this issue, especially with an important event coming up. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the false paper jam reading and the blue screen issue.
Check for Paper Jam:
- Inspect All Paper Paths: Even if you don't see a jam, check every possible paper path, including the paper trays, output tray, and any accessible areas inside the printer.
- Remove and Reinsert Paper: Try removing the paper stack, straightening it, and reinserting it.
Reset the Printer:
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Check for Paper Jam: After restarting, check if the paper jam message still appears.
Update or Reinstall Drivers:
- Update Drivers: Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.
- Reinstall Drivers: Uninstall the current drivers from your computer and then reinstall them.
Inspect and Clean:
- Clean Printer Internals: Sometimes, paper dust or debris can cause issues. Use a lint-free cloth to clean the interior components.
- Check for Broken Parts: Ensure no parts, such as paper rollers or sensors, are damaged.
Reset to Factory Settings:
- Factory Reset: Refer to your printer’s manual or HP’s support site for instructions on performing a factory reset. This can sometimes clear persistent errors.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
