Hi @SNAFFLE12325,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer keeps asking to load paper and is recommending ColorPak paper, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check Paper Tray
- Ensure Paper is Loaded: Make sure there’s enough paper in the tray and it’s loaded correctly.
- Check Paper Size: Confirm that the paper size matches the printer settings.
2. Adjust Paper Settings
- Printer Settings: Go to your printer's settings and make sure the paper type matches what you have loaded (e.g., plain paper, color paper).
- Use Recommended Paper: If the printer recommends ColorPak paper, consider using it, as some printers are sensitive to specific types.
3. Clear Paper Jams
- Check for Jams: Inspect the printer for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path.
4. Reset Printer
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on again.
5. Update Printer Drivers
- Check for Updates: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
