HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One Printer - N911g

Paper Jam Error, but, There is no paper jam in my hp officejet pro 8600 plus and I have reset it multiple times following HP’s suggestion, plus set back to factory settings and this error code STILL will not clear!!!!!!  HELP!!!!!!!!

Where is the sensor that tells there is a paper jam???????  I can clean it.

Is my printer broken or repairable?

I did find some ink “caked” up and cleaned it all up but it still won’t clear that error code either!

Hi @TABBS1

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, but the paper jam error persists. If you've cleaned out any visible ink or debris and reset the printer to factory settings without success, there might be a more complex issue at hand.

Here are a few additional steps you can try.

  • Check for Hidden Paper: Even if you can't see any paper stuck in the printer, there could still be a small piece stuck somewhere not easily visible. Use a flashlight to thoroughly inspect the paper path, including the input and output trays, as well as any access doors or covers.
  • Check Paper Sensors: Paper sensors are typically located along the paper path and detect the presence of paper. These sensors could be obstructed or malfunctioning. Try manually activating them to see if the error clears. Refer to your printer's manual for guidance on locating and testing these sensors.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. Sometimes, firmware updates address known issues and bugs that could be causing the error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
