I just opened a HP CN503A today. Two test prints were spit out through the regular paper. I loaded more paper and was getting ready to print. The paper jammed and a small piece was spit out and split in half. It is smaller than a dime with 8 points in a circle. I am assuming it is apart of the paper feed mechanism. I am wondering where this piece should go and how to do the repair? Paper will no longer feed through. I keep getting the empty paper alert when there is paper on there. I glued the piece back whole but not sure where to put it. Please help. I just unboxed this today and I’m really bummed out.

Hi @Psghettio,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

This looks like a hardware issue. I would request you to contact HP Phone support who can schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.

For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.

Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.

Please mark this post as Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
