Paper is not sliding properly through the printer cart

Product name: HP DeskJet 2600

Subject: paper is not sliding properly through the printer cart, it blocks before and does not continue printing, therefore i cannot print anything. How can i fix it?

Open Category Troubleshooting > Select Topic Jams and Feed Problems

If your printer has an Automatic Document Feeder, then the ADF might need attention:

•  Automatic document feeder does not pick paper or feeds too many sheets

Next,

Assuming the printer passes all the diagnostics - that is, the printer is clean and ready to print,

Recheck that the job setup and the selected paper for that job are matched (correct).

Reminder

HP Smart Mobile requires that the paper size and paper type is selected BEFORE the content is opened to be printed.

That just means:  The printer must be set up for the right paper before you open and print your data.

This printer lacks a display panel where you could enter information.

Instead, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check / adjust the paper size / type.

EWS is available from both your browser or from within HP Smart.

Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management

Model Dependent: 

• No Size > Select “Custom”  Note:  Not all printers support size “Custom”
• Advanced section > General Tray, Default Paper, Default Tray, Tray Lock

Click Apply to save changes

Reminder: Tray and Paper settings must adjusted before opening the object to be printed.

Open HP Smart (for mobile)

Open Settings wheel

Open Add / Set Up a Printer 

Scroll down, Click, Tray and Paper
