Paper jam in new Hp Smart Tank 6001

HP Smart Tank 6001 Printer- error message 4- says there is a paper jam.  Cannot find any paper in printer

I understand you are getting an E4 paper jam error on the HP Smart tank 6001 printer however you are not able to find the paper jam. let's try the steps shared below, this will help to try and resolve the issue.

STEP 1. Clear jammed paper from the printer

Paper jams can occur in multiple areas of the printer. If you cannot find the paper jam in one area, continue to the next area until the jam is located.

Possible jam locations

CalloutDescription

1. Input tray area

2. Inside the printer

3. Rear of the printer

4. Document feeder

STEP 2. Clear jammed paper from the input tray area

Remove any jammed paper that is accessible from the input tray area.

1. Remove any paper from the input tray.

2. Remove the input tray.

3. Remove the output tray.

4. Reach inside the gap where the trays were, and then pull the duplexer plate.

5. Remove any jammed paper.

6. Reinsert the duplexer plate.

7. Reinsert the output tray.

8. Reinsert the input tray.

9. Press the Resume button to continue the print job.
