Hi @Robbinsesq

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To clear a paper jam in your HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e series printer, accessing the rear panel is key. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you open the rear access panel and clear the jam:

How to Open the Rear Access Panel:

Turn off the Printer:

  • Always start by powering off the printer and unplugging it from the electrical outlet for safety.

Locate the Rear Access Panel:

  • The rear access panel on the HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e is typically located at the back of the printer, toward the bottom.

Open the Rear Access Panel:

  • Look for a latch or a small indentation at the center or bottom of the rear access panel.
  • Gently pull the panel open from the latch or indentation, or you may need to push on it lightly to unlock it. It should open outward.

Remove the Jammed Paper:

  • Carefully pull out any jammed paper from the rear access area. Make sure to pull the paper straight out to avoid tearing it or leaving small pieces inside.
  • If the paper is stuck, check for any pieces of torn paper in the rollers or other components and remove them.

Check the Paper Path:

  • Once the jam is cleared, inspect the rollers and paper path to ensure there’s no additional paper left behind. Sometimes, small scraps can cause more jams if they’re not cleared.

Close the Rear Access Panel:

  • After clearing the jam, gently press the rear access panel back into place until it clicks securely.

Turn the Printer Back On:

  • Plug the printer back in, power it up, and perform a test print to ensure everything is working correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
