Paper jam when there is no paper jammed

Paper jam fault when no paper is jammed. Does anyone know any Possible fixes.

I have literally done every suggested fix to no avail. The problem now is I can't get the Paper Jam error message to go away. I've tried rebooting the printer, changing outlets, fanning the paper. Someone *must* know what the answer is

the model number hp envy 5544. 

I have watched a video on you tube which goes through all the possible causes and fixes. None of them worked. 

last thing I did was clean the rollers. With water.

I know. I’ve done the same. I’m thinking there’s a mechanical problem with the printer. 
probably time for new one
