Hi @Gracielagarciah,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is indicating a paper jam but isn't actually pulling in paper, it can be frustrating. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

1. Check for Paper Jams Again

  • Carefully inspect all areas of the printer, including the input tray, output tray, and inside the printer itself. Even small bits of paper can trigger a jam error.

2. Examine the Paper Tray

  • Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the tray. Make sure it’s not overfilled and that the paper guides are snug against the paper stack.
  • Use the correct type and size of paper as specified by the manufacturer.

3. Clean the Rollers

  • Dust and debris can prevent the rollers from grabbing the paper properly. Clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water. Allow them to dry completely before trying to print again.

4. Check for Roller Issues

  • Inspect the rollers for wear and tear. If they seem worn out or damaged, they might need to be replaced.
  • Try manually rotating the rollers to see if they move freely.

5. Perform a Reset

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds. Then plug it back in and turn it on to reset any error messages.

6. Update Printer Drivers

  • Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Check the HP website for the latest drivers compatible with your operating system.

7. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Similar to drivers, check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.

8. Test with Different Paper

  • Sometimes, using a different type or brand of paper can help. Try printing with a different batch of paper to see if the issue persists.

9. Consult the Printer’s Manual

  • Refer to the printer’s user manual for specific troubleshooting tips related to paper jams and error messages.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
