Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is displaying a "Paper Mismatch" error and you're having trouble selecting the correct paper size, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
1. Check Paper Size Settings
- On the Printer Control Panel: Navigate to the settings or setup menu and check the paper size selected. Make sure it matches the size of the paper loaded in the tray.
- On Your Computer: When sending a print job, ensure the paper size selected in the print dialog matches the paper in the printer.
2. Check Paper Tray
- Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray. Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper snugly but not too tight.
- Ensure the correct type and size of paper is loaded. Check for any other types of paper that may cause the mismatch.
3. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. You can check the manufacturer's website for updates.
4. Restart Printer and Computer
- Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve communication issues. Turn off both your printer and computer, then turn them back on.
5. Reset Printer Settings
- If the issue persists, consider resetting the printer settings to factory defaults. Check the user manual for instructions on how to do this.
6. Use the Printer's Software
- Use the printer’s software (like HP Smart or equivalent) to check and set the correct paper size.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
