Hi @Leggy123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet 2620 All-In-One Printer is not feeding paper properly, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check Paper Condition:
- Ensure that the paper you are using is not wrinkled, folded, or damaged.
- Use only the recommended type and size of paper for your printer.
Load the Paper Correctly:
- Make sure the paper is loaded with the print side facing down and the short edge forward. Adjust the paper guides to fit the width of the paper.
Clear Paper Jams:
- Check for any paper jams. Even a small piece of torn paper can cause issues. Open the printer cover and remove any stuck paper carefully.
Reset Printer:
- Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for a few minutes. Then, reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer. This can sometimes reset the paper feed mechanism.
Adjust Paper Settings:
- Ensure that the paper settings in the print driver match the paper loaded in the printer. Open the printer properties on your computer and verify the paper type and size settings.
Clean Paper Feed Rollers:
- Over time, paper dust and debris can accumulate on the paper feed rollers, causing feeding issues. Consult your printer's manual on how to clean the rollers properly.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
Check for Obstructions:
- Inspect the paper path for any foreign objects or obstructions that may be hindering the paper feed.
Use the Right Paper Type:
- Ensure that you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. The wrong type of paper may not feed correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
