My 2700e deskjet printer won't let me change the paper size. I've done everything I went through tray and paper to change the settings and hit ok, but when I go to print it's auto stuck on 4x6 and I'm trying to change it to letter size. There's no drop down menu in the hp smart app to change it, please what am I supposed to do I can't afford to buy another printer??

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Update - Add "What else" section near end of message.
Tray and Paper setup should work, of course.
True -
HP Smart - Mobile - Paper Size & Type must be adjusted / verified before opening the content to be printed.
Try / Consider
Remove Paper
Wait a few seconds
Flex (do not fan) paper
Return to input tray
Open the Embedded Web Server (EWS) in your browser
Open and adjust / verify the paper size & type settings
Apply / OK any changes
Example
EWS > HP Document / How-to
Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
EWS – Browser – Tray and Paper Management
Open your favorite browser > type / enter Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Settings > Preferences > Tray and Paper Management
Model Dependent: Advanced section
Click Apply to save changes
Retain_Printing_Preferences_17
What else?
Optional / Ideas
You could try a printer "Reset / Restart"
OR
Restart everything, including the router that controls your network
Would either of these help?
Maybe -- it does depend on why the printer is not accepted legitimate paper size / type changes in EWS.
Printer Restart
Reference document: HP printer does not turn on -- Step 1
Recycle power to the printer
Unplug the printer and then reconnect the printer to reset the power module.
Disconnect the power cord from the printer.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet, power strip, or surge protector.
After the printer has been disconnected for at least 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord to the printer.
Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet.
Depending on your printer model, use the appropriate steps to start a Power On/Off cycle:
Printers with a Power button: Press and release the Power button. Do not hold the button down.
Note:If you press and hold the Power button too long, the printer might turn on and then off without restarting. If this happens, press and quickly release the Power button again.
Printers with a Power switch: Press the Power switch to the Off position, and then press it to the On position.
If the printer does not turn on, wait 10 seconds, and then press the Power button or reset the Power switch again.
