I had this happen to a customer the other day. They managed to insert the tray wrong and one side was completely out of the track the tray rides on. Had to use a hammer to knock it out. Turn the printer on it's side so you can see what is going on. I have also seen cases where the metal inner part of the tray that actually lifts the paper does not drop when the door is pulled on. In that case you can use a paint stick or other long item, insert it into the back and push down on the metal part of the tray as someone pulls on the tray.
