HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 All-in-One Printer

Anyone have any issues with your printer not feeding the paper through?  It just sounds like it is trying over and over.  I've cleaned all the rollers and it still didn't help.

Hi @KKCallie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 is not feeding paper despite cleaning the rollers, here are a few more troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no small pieces of paper or foreign objects stuck inside the printer that could be causing the issue.
  • Verify Paper Type and Size: Make sure you’re using the correct paper type and size for your printer. Sometimes, incorrect paper settings or using paper that is too thick or too thin can cause feeding problems.
  • Adjust Paper Guides: Ensure that the paper guides in the input tray are set correctly for the size of the paper you’re using. The guides should be snug against the paper without being too tight.
  • Inspect the Paper Tray: Ensure the paper tray is properly seated in the printer and not loose. Also, check that the paper is not curled or damaged.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve feeding issues.
  • Reset the Printer: Perform a factory reset on your printer. This can sometimes clear up issues that aren’t resolved by other troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
