Hi @Lilysmimi ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Photosmart 7520 E-All-In-One Printer is having trouble feeding paper even though it's loaded properly, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check Paper Orientation: Ensure that the paper is loaded with the correct orientation. The printable side of the paper should be facing down in the paper tray.
Adjust Paper Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the tray are adjusted correctly to fit the size of the paper. Improperly adjusted paper guides can lead to paper feed issues.
Inspect for Jammed Paper: Check for any jammed or wrinkled paper inside the printer. Even a small piece of paper left inside can cause paper feed problems.
Clean the Rollers: Paper feed rollers can accumulate dust and debris over time, leading to feed issues. Turn off the printer and disconnect the power source. Open the printer access door and clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth dampened with water. Make sure the rollers are dry before using the printer again.
Reset the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the internal components of the printer.
Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve performance.
Use Supported Paper: Ensure that you are using the correct type and size of paper as specified in the printer's manual. Using unsupported paper may cause feeding problems.
Check for Sensor Issues: There might be a sensor issue causing the printer to not detect the loaded paper. Inspect the paper tray area for any broken or misaligned sensors.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
