This printer connects directly to my PC by USB cable. The troubleshooting documentation says to initialize the super NVRAM. I followed instructions BUT the ready and on lights never began blinking, so unable to complete process.
The instructions also mention that there could be a piece of paper stuck on paper jam sensors. Where are each of the paper jam sensors? I could not find the sensors in the user manual.
I have removed and reinstalled the printer several times since Nov 2024 because it suddenly quit working with my windows 10 PC. I would get it working, then next day it would not work anymore.
I have never had any problems with this laser printer -- it is very basic printer.
HP Support people: I cannot add this printer to my profile. I keeps telling me that the product # is invalid. Also, no online diagnostic programs can assist with this printer because it is not on a network and not accessible on the internet.

Your HP LaserJet keeps disconnecting from your Windows 10 PC and now the super NVRAM initialization won't start. The troubleshooting suggests checking for paper stuck on sensors. While the exact locations aren't in your manual, common spots for these sensors are near the paper input and output trays, inside the printer cavity along the paper path, and around the toner cartridge. Look for small levers, flags, or optical sensors that might be blocked by even a tiny piece of paper. Power off and unplug the printer before inspecting these areas carefully with a flashlight. A persistent small obstruction could be causing both the connection problems and preventing the NVRAM initialization. If you can find a model number on the printer, that might help in finding more specific sensor locations.
