HP Deskjet All-in-One 3700

I am attempting to print A7 envelopes using Microsoft Word. When I hit print, it only prints about an inch of text, and then sends the rest of the envelope through blank.

I have my print settings on Word as:

Landscape Orientation

5.25" x 7.25"

Narrow Margins

I am not using mail merge or an envelope template -- I simply typed the addresses into a custom size document.

At first I tried just printing in word as a Custom Size. Then after watching some YouTube tutorials, in my Control Panel under Devices and Printers, I went to "Print Server Properties" and made a custom form for "A7" so that I can select that under Microsoft word when I print. I am selecting my custom size under both "Printer Properties" and the general Microsoft Word Print Settings.

Within Printer Properties, I have also tried various paper types. The envelopes are "32lb BOND/80lb TEXT" paper, so they are thicker than printer paper but still relatively thin. I have tried using the Plain Paper, Other Matte Inkjet Paper, HP Matte Presentation Paper, and HP Photo Paper options, and no luck.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. I have plugged the printer directly into a wall outlet or in a power strip. I have connected to the printer over wifi or via usb. And still no luck! It is frustrating as I bought this printer to print on my envelopes for wedding save the dates (current project), invitations, thank yous, etc, and I am having no luck. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

Welcome to the HP support community.

Which operating system is installed on the computer to which this printer is connected?
