I've been fighting with my Smart Tank 7300 since I bought it. Not enough to call it a dud out of the box but pretty close. I would like to hear what other people are saying about this overpriced piece of junk.
This printer is my home office printer so it gets very little use. It still has 3/4 ink in the original inks. I cannot count on it to reliably print. I end up having to unplug and restart the printer almost every time I print. I get paper jams for no particular reason. When I scan through the ADF printer I get a black line through every page. The control panel is the most unfriendly that I have every seen. Depending on the feedback I will either throw the printer out or gift it to someone because when the the printer is feeling charitable, it will spit out a page occasionally.
The situation is so bad that the IT support company that recommended the printer has let the person go that recommended the printer and they no longer advise their clients to purchase HP printing products. They have now standardized on Brother printing products which I hear only good things about.
I have informed my office manager to never, ever allow HP products in the company. My wallet is lighter by I will regain my sanity.
I AM BEYOND LIVID!
