Hi @Boss20,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For printing on index cards using the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw on a Windows 10 (64-bit) system, you'll want to follow a process that includes adjusting printer settings and possibly changing the paper size settings in the document you're printing from. Here's a general guideline to help you with the process:

Check Index Card Size: Make sure your index cards are compatible with your printer. The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw supports a variety of media sizes. Refer to the printer's manual to check the supported sizes.

Prepare the Index Cards: Place the index cards in the input tray of your printer. Depending on your printer model, you may need to adjust the sliders to fit the index cards snugly, preventing them from moving during printing.

Adjust Printer Settings: Before printing, you'll need to adjust your printer settings to accommodate the index card size.

  • Open the document you want to print.
  • Go to File > Print to open the print dialog.
  • Select your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130fw as the printer.
  • Click on Properties or Preferences next to the printer name.

Change Paper Size and Type:

  • In the printer properties dialog, look for a section that allows you to change the paper size. Select the size that matches your index cards if available. If your exact index card size is not listed, you may need to create a custom paper size.
  • Also, change the media type to a heavier paper or cardstock if available. This helps the printer adjust for the thicker material of the index card.

Print Settings in Your Document Software: Ensure that the document's page size matches the size of the index card. In software like Microsoft Word, you can set the page size under Page Layout > Size > More Paper Sizes and enter the dimensions of your index card.

Print a Test Page: Before printing multiple index cards, print a test page on a regular sheet of paper to ensure that the alignment and settings are correct.

Print Your Recipes: Once you've confirmed that the test page is correct, you're ready to print your recipes on the index cards.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your instructions. I struggled  with how to place the index card and printed vertical instead of horizontal and finally found that the card needs to be placed with the 3 inch side in the printer first so it would feed properly. Another thing I found is that I need to choose index card every thime before I print because it reverts back to letter.
