Print with rear door open

Hi trying to print with ultra thin media

which has no chance of turning out into top exit tray without crumpling into a fan!

I have found the sensor to hold in so the printer thinks rear door is shut - print comes through fine and I can pull it out but the printer registers a jam and then requires the front cover to be opened and re shut

is there a printer setting somewhere that can turn off this issue presumably as the printer knows the paper hasn’t landed onto the exit tray?
