I am reaching out regarding an issue with my HP Smart Printer. It is currently unable to print and is displaying an error message. Upon checking, it seems that a piece of paper may be stuck inside the printer.
I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this issue. Please let me know the steps I can take to fix the problem or if further support is needed.
Thank you for your help.

Hi @Ella122
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
I understand how frustrating a paper jam can be, especially when your HP Smart Printer refuses to print. Let's go through some steps to clear the jam and get your printer working again.
1. Power Off & Inspect the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Open the paper tray and check for any visible jammed paper.
- If you see paper, gently pull it out in the direction of the paper path to avoid tearing.
2. Check the Printhead Access Area
- Open the front cover and locate the printhead carriage.
- If the carriage is stuck, move it gently to check for obstructions.
- Remove any loose paper or debris.
3. Inspect the Rear Access Door
- If your printer has a rear access panel, open it.
- Look for any jammed paper and remove it carefully.
4. Clean the Paper Feed Rollers
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Wipe the paper feed rollers inside the printer.
- Let them dry completely before turning the printer back on.
5. Reset the Printer
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.
6. Watch HP Troubleshooting Video
