Printer Error code 0x6100004a
I followed the steps that were suggested and could not clear the error.
I noticed it was not a paper jam. The printer goes into a maintenance mode, then when done, tries to move the print carriage.
The carriage won't move. That's when the printer error pops up. It turns out the device under the print head that is cleaning the print head does not retract. The carriage can't move and now we get a paper jam, but there is No paper jam, only the carriage can't move. When you look at the print head cleaner, you can see a large amount of ink that looks out of place. I have seen this before on HP ink jets.
HP doesn't have a way for the user to clean the print head cleaner. Now you have to decide whether to have it serviced or buy a new printer.

have the same problem and ready to take a hammer to this POS. gonig on 4 hours -trying toget support, support bot is useless. Have this error code, every time does so called maintenance says paper jam but no paper jam. When turn off and on with power switch says turned off improperly, have done everything suggested, unplugging 60 when power on (also when off), run diagnositcs, etc. sometimes scans, sometimes doesn't, but printer head does not move. If can't fix will never buy another HP product again, what is wrong with this.
