HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

It appears my current printer has mechanical alignment failure. Every time I printed up a B/W or color print, it came out with several horizontal line blocks on the page. I have tried to get the printhead and alignment cleaned several times via HP Smart settings and I still received the same horizontal line blocks on a page. There is no paper jam or anything else. The paper went through normally while printing but something is causing the printer to skip a line and creating a linear horizontal block, then printing a line of text, then skipping a line and creating another block.

The warranty on this printer expired in 2021. I'm dumping this printer for a new one. There is no way to repair the mechanical parts of the printer that is causing this problem.

Addendum: I added two scanned images to show you what these look like.printalignmentfailA.jpgprintalignmentfailB.jpg

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting an alignment failure error, I am glad to assist you.

If you have tried all the steps mentioned in this HP document:- Click here

And if the issue still persists, you might have to perform a semi-full reset on the printer to fix this issue.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
