HP DeskJet 2710 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

my printer won't pull pages unless I put one  by one in and push it in.
In addition, I tried to print in color (I don't have black right now) and the page came out blank.

Hi @MazalSalman,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Paper Type and Condition

  • Use Correct Paper Type: Ensure you are using the right type of paper that is recommended for your printer. Avoid using paper that is wrinkled, damp or too thick.
  • Check Paper Condition: Inspect the paper to ensure it is not curled or wrinkled. Remove any damaged or curled sheets.

Adjust Paper Guides

  • Adjust the Paper Width Guides: Make sure the paper guides in the input tray are adjusted snugly against the paper without bending it.

Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

  • Clean the Rollers: Dust or lint might be obstructing the rollers. Follow these steps to clean them:
    • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
    • Open the input tray and locate the paper rollers.
    • Use a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled water to gently wipe the rollers.
    • Allow the rollers to dry completely before reconnecting the power cord and turning on the printer.

Reset the Printer

  • Reset the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
    • Wait for 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.

Resolving Printing Blank Page Issue

If your HP DeskJet 2710 is printing blank pages due to the lack of black ink, follow these steps to resolve the issue and print in color:

Check Ink Levels

  • Check Ink Cartridges: Ensure your color cartridge has enough ink. Replace any cartridge that is empty or too low.

Set Printer to Print in Color

  • Print Settings:
    • Open the document you want to print.
    • Go to Print settings (Ctrl + P on Windows).
    • Select your printer (HP DeskJet 2710) and, under Properties or Preferences, choose Print in color and select high-quality settings (if available).

Run a Printer Diagnostic

  • Diagnostic and Maintenance:
    • Use the printer's diagnostic tools (found in the printer software or on the printer control panel) to run a print quality diagnostic test.

I hope this helps.
