@User_8368000, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Issues with Sound and Paper Feed!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When you're experiencing sound issues along with problems feeding paper and printing, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve these:
Check the Printer Setup:
- Ensure that all cable connections are securely attached.
- Verify that the printer is on a stable surface and that no elements around it are causing interference or obstruction.
Inspect the Cartridges:
- Open the ink door and check if the cartridges are correctly seated and if they are causing the noise.
- Remove and reinstall them to ensure proper installation.
Paper Feed and Jams Check:
- Remove all paper from the input tray and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects. Use a flashlight if needed to see clearly inside the tray.
- Make sure the paper width guides in the input tray are set snugly against the paper without bending it.
Check Cartridge Movement:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it to safely check inside.
- Manually move the carriage if stuck and remove any objects obstructing its path.
Run a Diagnostic:
- If you have access to printer software, use the diagnostic tools available to run a printer check which may specify exactly what the issue is.
Sound Issues:
- Listen to the sound carefully, determining if it's coming from a specific part inside the printer such as the cartridge carriage.
- If the thud occurs when you switch on, check for any loose parts inside.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
