Hi,

I am having trouble with my brand new printer jamming when printing double sided. It prints one sided fine, but when being drawn back into the machine to print on the other side, the page always jams with the left side going in slightly further than the right. I’m having a lot of trouble finding troubleshooting for this issue. Really hoping someone might be able to help!

Thanks,

Grace

Hi @GC40,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

Perform the following tasks in the order given. Use the printer after each task to see if the issue is resolved.

Clear jammed paper from the printer

Paper jams can occur in multiple areas of the printer. If you cannot find the paper jam in one area, continue to the next area until the jam is located.

I have the exact same problem. The printer is new (HP Smart Tank 7005). The proposed solution did not help. The printer gets stuck when trying to print on the other side. The path rollers keep working, but the paper does not move. After a while, the printer gets silent and show the jam error in the display.

Hi Sergio,

After a lot of difficulty HP eventually took the printer and found it had a mechanical issue and gave a refund as it was faulty. Very frustrating as mine was also brand new. I hope you are also able to get a refund or exchange.
