Microsoft Windows 11

Printer HP Deskjet 2050 J510, has been operating fine until couple of days ago. Then suddenly, without any change otherwise, it does not operate correctly any longer.

Print quality remains fine.

Paper feeds only after a pause. A "line" (one print head travel) prints at usual speed.

Then printer pauses 15 s and prints next "line"

Then printer pauses 30 and prints next "line"

and so on until a full A4 page is complete, which takes approx 25 mn, as opposed to some seconds previously.

I have:

- ran a full anti-virus scan

- made a "belgian" reset (i.e. pull the power plug, wait a bit and reconnect)

- uninstalled the printer and reinstalled

- removed the drivers and reinstalled from HP web site

- changed the USB cable

all to no avail

I have connected the printer to an other PC, and obtained exactly the same behaviour: the PC has nothing to do with it, the problem lies entirely inside the printer

Any comment as to diagnosis, and method to fix is welcome
