HP 4100 deskjet prints the first page of multi-page jobs then the orange light beside the continue button starts flashing. Once you push the button the rest of the job will print. This happens almost every time there is a multi-page job.

Hi @Jack7007,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer prints the first page of a multi-page job, then pauses and requires you to press the continue button to proceed, which is commonly related to the printer’s paper feed sensor or driver settings.
Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check Paper Settings in Print Dialog
- Ensure that the paper size and type settings in your print dialog match what is loaded in the printer.
- Misconfigured settings can sometimes cause the printer to pause between pages.
2. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
- Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause various issues, including the one you're experiencing.
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP DeskJet 4152e printer.
- Uninstall the current printer drivers from your computer before installing the new ones.
3. Check the Paper Tray and Sensors
- Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the tray, and that the paper sensors are not obstructed by dust or debris.
- Remove the paper from the tray, fan it to ensure the pages are not sticking together, and reload it.
4. Check Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that the printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
5. Reset the Printer
- Sometimes, a printer reset can resolve issues. Unplug the printer from the power source, wait 60 seconds, and plug it back in.
6. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to automatically diagnose and resolve issues.
