Hi @KB213,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy 6000 series printer is displaying a "no paper" error despite having paper loaded, the issue might be related to paper feed problems or sensor misalignment. Here are some steps you can try.
Check Paper Size and Type:
- Ensure the paper you are using meets the printer’s specifications (standard 8.5 x 11 inches, plain paper recommended).
- Remove any wrinkled, curled, or damaged paper.
- Make sure you aren’t overloading the paper tray.
Adjust Paper in Tray:
- Remove the paper, fan the stack to prevent sticking, and reinsert it into the paper tray. Ensure the paper is seated properly and aligned with the width guides without being too tight.
- Make sure the paper size guides are set correctly, as misaligned guides can cause the printer to think there’s no paper.
Clean Paper Feed Rollers:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the paper from the tray.
- Using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water, clean the rollers (small rubber wheels) that feed the paper.
- Let the rollers dry completely before plugging the printer back in.
Reset the Printer:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it's on.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. This can reset internal sensors that may have been triggered incorrectly.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer to check for any small bits of paper or debris that could be obstructing the paper path.
- Look inside the paper tray and behind the rear access door if applicable for anything that might block the paper from being pulled.
Firmware Update:
- Sometimes a firmware update can resolve errors like these. Check for any available firmware updates for your HP Envy 6000 via HP Smart app or the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
