Hi @drylab,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
If you're experiencing issues with printing Avery labels on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer and they're not feeding properly, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Label Type and Size: Make sure you have selected the correct label type and size in your printer settings. Avery labels come in various sizes and types, and selecting the wrong settings can cause feeding issues.
Label Sheet Orientation: Ensure that the label sheets are loaded in the printer tray with the correct orientation. The label side should be facing down and the top of the sheet should be loaded first.
Label Sheet Condition: Check the label sheets for any damage, creases, or folds that could be causing feeding problems. Even a small imperfection can disrupt the feeding mechanism.
Paper Tray Adjustments: Adjust the paper guides in the input tray to snugly fit the label sheets. If they're too loose, the sheets might not feed properly.
Paper Stack: Don't overload the paper tray with too many label sheets. Overloading can cause feeding issues. Ensure that the stack of label sheets is properly aligned and not skewed.
Clean the Rollers: Over time, dust and debris can accumulate on the printer's paper rollers, causing feeding problems. Gently clean the rollers using a lint-free cloth dampened with water. Make sure the rollers are dry before loading the label sheets.
Printer Firmware: Check if your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can include improvements
for paper handling and feeding.
Print Quality Settings: Adjust the print quality settings in the printer software. Using a lower-quality setting might help with feeding issues.
Manual Feed: If the problem persists, try using the manual feed slot (if your printer has one) to feed one label sheet at a time.
Label Sheet Brand: While Avery is a popular label brand, there might be variations in label thickness or adhesive that could affect feeding. You could try using a different brand of labels to see if the problem persists.
If none of the above steps solve the issue, it might be a mechanical problem with the printer.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
