I am having so many issues with printing 7 x 10 cards on glossy paper. First I have been having false paper jams. In addition, it will roll out a paper without any printing and then says there's a jam. Next when I go to fix this, it will next print only part of the the card. Or it completely leaves off parts of the cards. I have done all of the cleaning of rollers, I have done the careful resets after unplugging and waiting and plugging back in. I have also uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled them. I have bought expensive card paper to print and I'm so sick of having to throw away so many. I have cut plain paper 7 x 10 to test out the prints to preserve my good paper. Once I think it's ok, it's right back to making these printing errors. I can't print more than one at a time without having to deal with the same problems. I'd buy a different printer, but with the pandemic, there just aren't a lot of good ones to pick from. I specifically wanted this one to print borderless as well as to print large.

Welcome to the HP Community.
Nice printer - it might be able to do what you want of it.
The printer supports various paper types and weights.
Card paper is not specifically listed, though, if the the paper type is supported at all, the top weight would likely be 200 gsm / 110lb Index paper.
What IS supported?
Brochure paper in both matte and glossy is supported.
Note the slightly different weight allowance.
That said, you might still get away (be able to use) the slightly heavier 200 gsm weight when selecting this paper type.

If your paper meets (or comes very close) to the weight and type limitations,
and
Assuming the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software is installed,
Consider selecting Paper Type (as available) Brochure Glossy
Borderless?
Maybe - first, though, it might be best to test at your Paper Size and the Paper Type with a small Border.
Part of the issue is whether the printer will accept Borderless using the Brochure paper type.
Might do so - there is not anything in the specifications that states Borderless is restricted to only Photo paper.
Reminder: You cannot select Photo Paper unless there is actually photo paper loaded in the printer. Most printers cannot be fooled in this way.
If you can get a card to print on the paper with a Border, try printing a card and add the Borderless setting.

What else?
The printer must be alerted to the paper size & type loaded in the Tray

Review: Remember to check / adjust the Printing Preferences and Shortcut
Set the Preferences – Windows
NOTES
- This section is not applicable to Mobile Printing.
- Access to the complete Printer Preferences requires having installed the Full Driver printer software.
- Printing Preferences are available directly from the driver.
- Printing Envelopes? See NOTE
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers
Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences
- When called from within printing software / applications, Printing Preferences might be called "Printer Properties" / "Shortcuts" / “More Settings” / “Properties” / "Printer Setup" or similar.
- No Size? If the size of the Paper Size is not included in the Drop-down list, consider / try: Create a Custom Paper Size Form. Reference: HP Printers - Creating Custom Paper Sizes
NOTE >> Word > Mailings > Envelopes :: Preferences and Envelopes
Select / leave Printing Preferences Shortcut to "Everyday Printing" or something equally benign.
==============================================================================
What else?
How you set up the job depends on the type of content.
For example, "Cards" might be mixed content (both text and images).
Mixed content can typically be printed as (for example) a Word document or perhaps a PDF file.
One example - Word document - 3x5 inch card - Portrait
Word_Test_3X5_card_Portrait_2
What about Duplex?
Size restrictions:
Standard Media Sizes (duplex, Imperial) | Legal, Letter; executive, Ledger |
Standard Media Sizes (duplex, metric) | A4; B5; A3 |
Example - PDF Print - Adobe Reader DC - Simple Document Print - Main Print Menu
PDF_Reader_Main_Menu_1
Example - PDF Print - Adobe Reader DC - Card - Single Fold - Booklet Print
Note: This is a completely different animal - there are likely limitations for duplex, paper size & type
Test on plain paper!

Thank you for your reply. The paper weight is 60 lbs. and I have selected brochure -glossy. I also had already made a custom size in the system based on other trouble-shooting suggestions I have researched. In all areas of printing and on the printer, the correct paper is selected. I have tried this in Photoshop and also in Word to get it to print correctly and I continue to have issues. I'm using up expensive printer ink trying to figure this out as well as it's wrecking the cards I'm making. Now with my last attempt of printing, the printer auto fed the paper without printing anything and the on the other side of the paper it's leaving black roller tracking marks!

Thanks for the image - that helps me visualize what you are doing.
Yes, I can see it..
Looks like these are pre-made cards with a "fold" mark.
Guessing!
Possible Source(s) of Problem:
The surface on the cards is incompatible - that is, the type of "gloss" finish on the cards is simply not suitable for some reason. It almost looks like the rollers are catching or slipping. (Yes, I realize these are two separate things.)
OR
The paper is not actually "card" paper as defined for Index Paper ISO standards. This is less important in some cases than in others. For example, the 60lb weight, even if the stock is made from "Cover" paper, is about 163 gsm. Likely OK. What if? If the paper is actually heavier than stated (and I am not saying this is the case), then the paper weight might exceed the printer limitations. Added to the slippery surface, it might be enough to mess with how the paper feeds.
That said,
The roller marks indicate one - or both - of those things could be causing a problem.
What else?
The "fold" looks flat but might not be flat or the indentation mark might be confusing the paper sensor.
Like I said - guessing.
I'm disappointed, too, that I don't have a solution.
One thing that would likely work - and involves a lot of hassling around and such:
Instead of printing your content right on the nice shiny cards, Print on what the printer will handle - some small photo paper, for example, or on some Brochure paper (matte or glossy). If the photo / content / whatnot on the Brochure paper is not the right size, cut it out so it can be fitted into your folded card. Glue / Tape it down. Add an extra free floating paper inside the card (with an extra message or Photo) so the whole thing looks like it might be "deliberate" ("I meant to do it this way.")
Yes, I know.... Meh.
I might have missed something.

Thank you so much for trying to trouble-shoot my never ending problems with this. Previously have have printed on card stock (matte) without these kind of problems. The paper was standard size and was scored so I could make 2 cards on 8.5 x 11. I upped my game and purchased really nice paper from Red River Paper to print now. I wanted the glossy kind like you would get at a store. I was so happy with how the first batch printed that I purchased double!
I think you might be on to something with the paper sensors not liking the fold crease and the glossy side for printing. When I test the prints on regular paper I don't have this issue. It's crazy because I was able to print several of these cards with minimal issues, but now it seems to be an ongoing problem. Is there another way to bypass the paper sensors without wrecking the machine? I know that's a reach, but I thought I'd ask. In looking at Red River Paper, they say there are very few printers that actually print their 7 X 10 cards. The one I have is not listed, but I thought for sure with borderless printing and custom page set up it would work.

You are welcome.
OK - if you could print a few of these - then the cause of the problem could be the way the ink is treating that paper surface.
For example, possibly as a result of the "glossy" surface on the paper, the printer might be adding too much ink, not distributing the ink correctly -- Doing "Something" the printer tolerates for a time and then balks.
Try treating the printer as if it is suffering a Jam Error and needs a good cleaning.
Step 2 - Clean the paper feed rollers
