I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8630. I had a paper jam and removed it from the back section, then opened where the printer cartridges live, and tried to pull out the paper from the front. As a did so I accidentally pulled out a thin long printer 'ribbon' while trying to clear a paper jam and now cartridge wont move. It is see through and leaves black marks on my hand. Does anyone know where it would come from and how to put it back. The ends just look like small square holes so it looks like it would just hook into something, but I just don't know where. Since the cartrigdes dont move I assume it attached to it somehow?

That is the calibration strip. It will be hard to get it back in because you need to disassemble the printer and thread it through the sensor on the cartridge holder on the backside.

If I pull it apart is it obvious where it goes on each side - or would it be better to take to a printer repair place?
