I have been having problems with our HP printer the last few months. It keeps showing there is a cartridge problem or paper jam when there really isn’t.
how do we get this fixed.

Hi @Regus0849,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're stoked to have you on board!
To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please share the model name of your device?
Meanwhile, you can try these steps:
Power Reset
Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
Wait 1–2 minutes, then plug it back in and turn the printer on.
Check for Paper or Debris
Open all access doors (input tray, output tray, rear access if available).
Gently remove any paper, torn bits, or dust that may be stuck inside.
Make sure the rollers turn freely and are clean.
Inspect Ink Cartridges
Remove the cartridges and check for protective tape or dried ink around the copper contacts.
Clean the contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
Reseat the cartridges firmly into their slots until they click.
Sensor Cleaning
Use a can of compressed air or a soft brush to carefully clean around the paper path sensors and cartridge area.
Sometimes small dust particles or ink buildup can cause false error messages.
Run Printer Self-Test
On the control panel, go to Settings > Tools > Printer Maintenance (or use the HP Smart app) and run a diagnostic test.
This can sometimes reset error messages.
Update Firmware
Visit HP Support Website, enter your printer model, and check if a firmware update is available.
Installing the latest firmware may resolve recurring false sensor errors.
I hope this helps.

Good morning Kuroi,
Thank you sharing ways I can resolve this issue. I have completed the below but seems like it is not working, but I have been in contact from the HP Team and they have said they can't do much about it so we will have to buy a new one.
