I have a Color Laserjet Pro MFP M283cdw. It is not used heavily but I am now getting this squiggly indent that you can feel and it is ruining anything I print. I’ve checked the toners and feeder wheels but I have no idea. Please help!

Does that run in the direction of paper feed? If so, based on my experience you either have something stuck to the fuser or the fuser has failed. Most common cause of those type of defects. The challenge is the fuser is nearly impossible to examine without major disassembly of the printer.

Yes it does run in the direction of the paper feed and best I can tell lines up with one of the 4 rollers but I’ve checked all the rollers. Is checking the fuser something I could do or is the printer a goner?  Thank you for the suggestion.

Checking the fuser requires some disassembly of the printer as there is no way to get a good look with the part in the printer. If the fuser has failed  it becomes a difficult decision. A new HP fuser costs around the same as printer. 3rd party parts are a way to lower repair cost but be warned, they may not provide OEM performance and can sometimes generate more noise during the printing process.
