HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer

When feeding a sheet of paper through the HP All in One -  8710 paper feeder, a sticky note came off of the paper being fed and is now stuck inside the feeder. I cannot see the sticky to remove it but it seems to be located just inside the feeder, and keeps me from feeding paper into the printer when scanning documents. Is there a reasonable way to get to the sticky and remove it?

Easiest way is to use a stiff index card or piece of flexible  Mylar and push it through the paper path. Always push in the same direction of travel as regular feeding to reduce the chance of damaging a flag.
