Hello,

So I tried all the suggestions already that I found online and here. None of them successful.
I am sure there is no paper jam.. I investigated the papers and none of them had any part missing.
when I click the arrow sign on top of the machine, it takes a paper in and delivers successfully to the tray but then immediately goes back into the error screen again..

on the app when I check the tray and paper, this is what it said:

System Error

Not Found (pgSimpleTrayMgmt)

INFNTYLP2N001.2330A.00

I think it got weirded out and automatically keep going back to error even tho nothing is wrong. What do you suggest please?
Ps: I am using the same papers I was using for years.

thanks.

Hi @Tangoxuser7 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for providing such a detailed description of the issue with your HP Tango X printer. I can certainly see why this is so frustrating—it's a classic case of the printer saying there's a problem when it seems to be successfully moving paper.

The specific error code you found in the app, System Error Not Found (pgSimpleTrayMgmt) INFNTYLP2N001.2330A.00, is the most important clue here.

What That Error Code Means

The code, particularly the (pgSimpleTrayMgmt) section, strongly suggests this is not a physical paper jam. Instead, it indicates a firmware or sensor failure related to the paper management system.

Essentially, the printer successfully uses its mechanics to grab and deliver the paper (as you confirmed by pressing the arrow), but the electronic sensor or the internal software logic that monitors the paper tray is failing to properly reset or confirm the paper status, causing it to instantly revert to the error state.

What to Try Next (Beyond Basic Troubleshooting)

Since you've done all the basic clearing and checks, here is the most aggressive software step you can safely perform yourself, followed by the necessary official action:

1. Perform a Power Reset (Hard Reset)

This often clears electronic error states or sensor issues that normal restarts won't fix.

  • With the printer powered ON, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.

  • Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet.

  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. This ensures the electrical charge fully drains.

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet, and then back into the printer.

  • The printer should power on automatically. Check if the error is gone.

2. Check for Firmware Updates

Though unlikely to fix a persistent sensor error, outdated firmware can cause buggy behavior.

Please , do let me know if you need any other assistance, will be happy to assist you

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask any other queries as well.
